The British revival of Sunday in the Park with George, which just won five Olivier Awards including Outstanding Musical Production, has been confirmed for Broadway. The production will be part of the 2007-08 season for the Roundabout Theater, starting previews on January 18 at Studio 54.
Director Sam Buntrock's Sunday in the Park originated at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in November 2005, then transferred to the West End. Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell headlined the West End staging and each earned Oliviers for their performances. Although both leads could be Broadway-bound, no casting has been confirmed at this time.
Sunday in the Park with George will open on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2008.
